Watching grass grow

A quick up date on our beautiful plantings. These were the pictures I took on my way out of town July 3rd:

Our little Lilac now has a lovely area of grass growing around it in place of the rotting over grown garden bed! Below is the before and progress pictures of our little Japanese Maple's new home.

Grass growing is still in progress, obviously.

Here is a close up on the Lilac area:

It's all looking good in the back yard!

Yay grass!!! It is now long enough to mow! Who thought someone could get so excited about grass growing. But to me it is a sign of making the house our own and moving on from the past owners!
